The 35th Annual Conference of the International Panorama Council (IPC) was held from 23 to 25 September 2026 at the recently inaugurated Panorama of the Council of Constance (Konstanz, Germany). This year’s event was dedicated to the theme Panoramas and the Future.

Victor Flores, coordinator of the Early Visual Media Lab (EVML), and researcher Ana David Mendes participated in the conference. Victor Flores presented Lisbon at Barkers’ Panoramas (1812–1813): The Silent and Subtle Imperialism of Urban Landscapes, while Ana David Mendes gave a talk under the title Reprogramming the Panorama: Toward a Sensory Commons of Seeing and Listening.

The International Panorama Council Conference is one of the leading annual events dedicated to early immersive media heritage, bringing together researchers, scholars, artists and other media specialists. This year’s conference included a guided tour to Yadegar Asisi’s panorama Amazonia (Pforzheim), a 360º hyper-realistic depiction of the amazonian rainforest.
