International Journal Stereo & Immersive Media: New issue just published

The editorial board of the International Journal on Stereo & Immersive Media is pleased to announce that its 2022 issue has just been published. This issue (Vol.6) features eight articles— including invited papers by photo historian Lee Fontanella, Rod Bantjes, from St Francis Xavier University, and Ana David Mendes from CICANT – Lusofona University —, concerning topics that go from optical media and Virtual Reality to minstrels representation in stereoscopic photography. IJSIM’s cover builds on the latter topic, featuring ‘The White Slave’, an 1861 hand-coloured stereoscopic card by Michael Burr, taking us back to the social fears generated by the abolitionist movements.

IJSIM was recently approved for Scopus, today’s largest peer-reviewed bibliographic reference database.

We hope this issue will contribute to a fresh and inspiring start in the New Year! Access it here.
