On January 9, the PhD candidates in Media Arts and Communication from Lusófona University visited ANIM – the Portuguese National Archive of Moving Images, located in Bucelas. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore the facilities and technologies that secure the archiving and preservation of film stocks at the Portuguese Cinematheque.

In addition to learning about film conservation and restoration methods, the group examined early visual media that prefigured cinema, deepening their understanding of the evolution of moving images.
