Last October, the Early Visual Media Lab organised a dry collodion photography workshop held by the American photographers Mark Osterman and France Scully, specialized in early photographic processes. Dry collodion is a much forgotten photographic process and a much tougher one than the wet collodion emulsion. Lusofona’s photography lab in ‘Force’ was used in full (the diversity of chemicals required is amazing!) and the results were impressive. The workshop was also made possible with the keen support of photographers Paula Lourenço, Luís Pavão, Telmo Mendes and Rodrigo Peixoto, director of Lusofona’s graduation and master in Photography.
