Early Visual Media Lab partners with the exhibition ‘Photo Impulse: (dis)placing the colonial archive’ at the Museum of Science and Natural History

The exhibition ‘Photo Impulse: (dis)placing the colonial archive’ has recently opened at the Museum of Science and Natural History in Lisbon, disclosing some Portuguese colonial photography collections. For this exhibition, the Early Visual Media Lab has prepared 25 stereoscopic photos by Gago Coutinho and César Moura Brás, which included photo edition, printing and trimming/pasting, and showcased them in a historical stereoscope. Soon, a new collaboration will include a curatorial project to present a reproduction of the Belgian Panorama of Congo (1913)  by Paul Mathieu and Alfred Bastien. This exhibition can be visited until May 2023.
