On 7 May 2026, Nuno Borges de Araújo (Architect and Photo historian) presented the lecture “Women in Portuguese Professional Photography, 1844-1910” to the Bachelor and Master students of Photography at Lusófona University, Lisbon. The lecture provided the students with a unique opportunity to engage with historical records and photographs from this period, shedding light on the vital yet often overlooked role of female pioneers in the Portuguese photographic landscape.
